I fell in love with this blogger/model last Fall during fashion week when she asked to photograph my outfit outside of the Marchesa show. I was so stunned by how beautiful she was and continue to be. One of my favorite bloggers of all time. She has such an effortless style and everthing she puts on looks amaze. Love the chic ombre long bob. So wish I could pull it off. Sadly feel I can't and therefore will leave it to Hanneli to out stage us all.

Currently in the long process of trying to make my way through all of them and choose the ones I really want! So hard! Above are some of the new ones that she sent over that make me so happy! Can we do it again? Pretty please?

The Answer To All My Problems
I am having a love affair this winter season with ponchos. Trying to figure out how to wear them without looking like an extra in a western movie...proving a bit more difficult then anticipated. This Alexander Wang silk and knit poncho is clearly the answer to my predicament. Elegant and sexy, I am totally in love with the idea of wearing this with a fabulous evening mini dress and to die for barely there silver heels. Basically how the piece was styled for the runway. Now if I can only figure out how to finance.....will remember to buy a lottery ticket today after work :)

Just Blowouts
outside of the NYC DryBar
inside view
finished product
Several weeks ago Jac and I traveled to NYC for Coterie and showroom appointments. Of course as per usual we found plenty of time to have fun and pamper ourselves. I had read several pieces of press about this new phenom DryBar and discovered that the one in NYC had opened the day before we arrived! Perfect timing. I immediately got on the phone and made Jac and me appointments before we went out Saturday night for Brandon's Bday. It is hair mecca. For $35 you get a yummy cocktail, wash and condition, and a blowout! Everything is based around cocktail time, including the names of the hair styles to choose from. For example, I chose the Mai Tai (Beach waves) or one could go with the Cosmo (sophisticated curls). Needless to say I would be a member if I had a location within 60 miles of my house. Memberships are of course categorized as "Barfly" and "Regular". I mean really? Could this place be more perfect for me? If you are in LA or NYC anytime soon, one really must experience such bliss!

Hotel Judi's
A couple of weekends ago I decided to take a mini vacay at one of my fav places on earth, Hotel Judi's. My mother-in-law is the most fab host and I always have the most fun with her! Besides the Sweet Magnolia chicken salad and red velvet cheesecake...oh and who could forget the never ending flow of bubbles! The company is even better! Jac and Bianca Bear decided to stop over for the night on their way home from visiting Brandon and the always crazy fun Sarah joined in our fun as well! Tried a great new restaurant and ate way too much food! As usual...hard to leave and counting down the days till I return to this heaven on earth.

Fabulous and Pink
Several weekends ago all the girls got together to support Jacqueline at the Pink Tie Ball Lounge supporting Susan G. Komen for breast cancer. Jac chaired the lounge and it was absolutely fabulous! I of course was thrilled because I was able to re wear my Lela Rose feather skirt from my wedding! Kate and Julie are both wearing dresses they purchased at the store! And everyone looked amazing and danced the night away!
Sunday at It's Finest
This past weekend, Jac and I traveled to New York City on our annual September buying trip. Of course as usual we managed to sneak in a little leisure time, or maybe a lot of leisure time. Sunday is always my favorite day while in the city. We headed to the Upper West Side to meet up with our loves Edgar and Brandon. After brunch at Cafe Lalo, we browsed the street flea market and then took a short cut through Central Park to go men's shoe shopping at Barney's. Such a gorgeous day and nothing is better then shopping with these two fabulous men.

Wide and Wonderful
I am as usual dying for Fall to start. I am craving over size sweaters and boots in my daily routine. I am also currently on the hunt for the perfect pair of wide leg trousers and I think these Missoni pants may be exactly what I need. Amazingly the price is not even that scary. Think I am gonna pull the trigger.

Gangsta
Jason decided to snap this shot last week on our way to have dinner on Bardstown Rd. This car is out of control fun and of course I decided I needed a pose next to it. Love summer in the Highlands.

My Next Journey
I am obsessed with the idea of painting a fabulous Missoni zig zag or another graphic print on a wood floor. I think I have convinced Jason that this is precisely what we need to do in our kitchen that is finally nearing completion after several months of renovations. Mary McDonald is probably one of my top 3 favorite designers in the world. Her style is so funky but, still remains classic with a hint of girlish charm. Will post pictures of the kitchen if it ever gets finished. Not sure what design I am going to go with.

Fur Goes Well With Everything
Last week I spent a glorious 7 days on the island of Nantucket. Jason's father has a fab house and sailing yacht and we had to partake in the fun of course! Reba and Monkey joined in on the fun and the week was one of the best I have ever had. Trying to figure out how I can forever spend season there. It gets a little chilly there at night, which suits me just fine because that means a little fur vest on the boat watching the sun set was completely necessary.

White is the New Black...But, Black is still Black
For the past several seasons, I have switched gears and generally have become obsessed with Isabel Marant and everything she creates. Maybe it's my never dying desire to hail from the 70's and my need to constantly be in leather, fringe, and the new trend Navajo. Either way, Marant is hitting the mark with her new Fall RTW. While I agree that white has made a major comeback, I can't quite come to grips that it is the new black. Black is black and never leaves or comes back. It simply is. One of the reasons it is my favorite color. For fall, the collection screamed native cowgirl. The oversize sweaters, fur, and those fabulous fringe boots are making me swoon. Now all I have to do is figure out how to get my hands on a pair.

Lewis Clan
This picture was taken at the after after after party the night of the wedding. I believe it was perhaps around 3am and our photographer Sarah was still kicking it with us into the wee hours. Josh decided he would wear his tie with his swimwear. I of course thought my parasol needed another photo moment. Has to be one of my all time favorite pictures.
Lover Bear
My fabulous photographer, Sarah, shot this pic of my lover bear and me at the after after party the night of the wedding. The Halston bridesmaid gowns ended up being the perfect accessory to all of my beautiful friends. This pic makes me smile every time I look at it.
The Pants
My lover bear Rebecca happened upon these dream pants on Ebay one day and sent them to me. I of course had a mini meltdown and had to pull the "buy now" trigger. Vintage Valentino with the tags still on them from Berdorf's in Italy circa 1972. Um....yea. No questions asked they had to be worn at my Mexican wedding weekend. They made quite a splash at the rehearsal dinner and I can't wait to wear them again!

Family Ties
These pics were snapped by the lovely Jules and Maggs pictured above at my bridal shower a few weeks ago. It was a themed naughty lingerie and champagne party. My kind of party! I had such a fabulous time and can't even begin to explain how excited I am to become a Lewis! I already have one great sister and mom and now I get another sister and two moms! I love you all and am so blessed to have you in my life!

The 2live crew sans our girl Natalie headed out to the track last Friday with our men to Oaks! Jac hosted a fabulous brunch beforehand where I ate too much of Frankie's potato casserole and Lynn's Paradise Cafe biscuits! We were representing Dressing Room hard and had a great time sipping bubbly and seeing all our friends at the track!

Me and My Earthy Self
Last week Jason and I traveled to his old college stomping grounds, Boulder, CO. I have now drank the Colorado kool-aid and would totally move there! No humidity and no bugs! Yes and thank you please. I channeled by inner outdoor side and hiked almost everyday. Above is a shot of me on the Eldorado Trail. Don't worry, I also fit in shopping and a manicure. Bought my first Patagonia fleece. It was a big moment.

Had to blog the party pics and mini photo shoot pics we had on Saturday. We descended upon The Bubble Lounge at midnight after a yummy dinner at David Burke's Townhouse and a quick cocktail at The Soho Grand Hotel. The Bubble Lounge is one of my fav spots in the city. Everyone is so happy there because the only beverage on the menu is champagne. With more than 500 bubbles to choose from, I can say I was in my version of heaven. Don't even get me started on the chocolate chip cookies served rare, medium, or well done. Yes, I am serious. Somehow we ended up shutting the place down and dancing till 4am. Murky hour indeed.
Bubble Time
This past weekend Jac and I traveled to New York for my wedding dress fitting and general fun with sisters Frankie and Brooke. The 3 days we spent in the city were out of control fabulous and I scooped this new long leopard maxi skirt from Zara. Wish they had it in every color! This pic was snapped outside The Bubble Lounge at a very late hour on Saturday eve/Sunday morning.

Ultimate
(Jane. image via SeaofShoes)
Found this snapshot on one of my fav blogs this morning, Sea of Shoes. Jane is such an amazing fashion blogger and her outfits are always to die for. I fell totally in love with this photo. The fedora/pirate hat with the long feathers is so fabulous and her eye make-up is making me want to experiment with different, darker hues for my next night out on the town!

Fuzzy Forever

(Elena Perminova. image via LeFashion)
My lover bear and future sister-in-law Rebecca, thrifted the above coat I'm wearing from the ever faithful and fabulous Nitty Gritty. I of course told her she must share with me and I wore it too many more times I care to admit considering it is not exactly a forgettable number. I was going through one of my daily blog reads and happened upon Elena wearing a similar version. However, I do think she has some sort of sparkle persuasion to her piece. Needless to say, the coat is going to be with me till death do us part.

Fame Monster Goes Mugler
Much anticipated was the Mugler Fall RTW fashion show. Not only did Lady GaGa's stylist, Nicola Formichetti design the collection, but he asked her to walk in the show. You can only imagine the hype surrounding this piece of fashion gossip. Just saw her concert last weekend and she is beyond fabulous. Sad to say I can't say the same for the collection. While it was a great show, the overall look fell short for the Mugler I am used to seeing. However, GaGa was the highlight of the runway and rocked it hard!

Looking Forward
Antik Batik Lookbook Fall 2011
Jac and I just returned from NYC where we had a marvelous time shopping for fall! Dressing Room is going to house some of the very best the fashion gods have to offer for the colder months of 2011. I clearly died and went to fur heaven when I viewed the Antik Batik collection. Above is a sneak peek of what is to come. Of course, I had to try everything on and let me just tell you that all items above were fabulous and I ordered one of everything for myself. :)

Morgan Mania
I am so very excited because on Sunday Jac, Mom, and I leave for NYC for a buying trip for the store! As many of you know...we have a small addiction to staying in a new boutique hotel every time we travel somewhere. The Morgan in NYC is sure not to disappoint. Jacqueline came through big time when she booked us at this fabulous place through Gilt Jetsetter! I can't wait to explore!

So, I have been glued to Style.com since the beginning of fashion week. I love viewing all the new collections and obsessing over things I can't afford. For Christmas, my fabulous fiance bought me this amazing fur skirt and I was thrilled to see that Oscar is having a similar love affair with fur skirts for the Fall 2011 season. Looks like Jason was ahead of the trend aka Rebecca (lover bear) found a gem and saw it's amazing potential. Thank you to both of my loves!
