It's Here!

(Nicole Richie, House of Harlow 1960)
I could not be more thrilled! Nicole Richie's new jewelry line, House of Harlow 1960 is now at Dressing Room! The pieces are to die for and I of course ordered one of everything for myself. I think I may have a problem! And if any of you out there are wondering if I ordered the fab gold headpiece she is wearing above...wonder no more. What do you think? Of course I did and it is super fab!

Sparkle Bright

(Gwyneth Paltrow in Versace)
So, I spotted this pic in OK!magazine (yes, I really love my trash tabloid news). Anyways, I just love this look. The sequin parred down with the gray cardigan is a perfect combo and I am totally digging the metallic tights. Look of the day.

Pop Might Never Be The Same

I of course had to give a shout out to Micheal. I like everyone else am in complete shock over the entire thing. While he ended up being totally strange in the end, he still is the King Of Pop and no matter how weird he was, he rocked it out. We do still have JT but, no one will ever do it quite like MJ. RIP.

Cowgirls Die And Go To Heaven

(Maurie and Eve, a/w 09 via rackk and ruin)
I am having a love affair lately with Australian designers. From Josh Goot to Camilla and Marc(available at Dressing Room), I can't get enough. So, no surprise that Maurie and Eve, an Aussie label, has me lusting over several pieces. My favorite however, is this insane white dress with black fringe. I just want to to be wearing this, walking through the desert, sweaty and surrounded only by one cactus. Then out of no where, I picture a vintage convertible with a weathered, dark haired boy pulling up and asking me if I need a ride. Now that would be fabulous. Of course I need a ride, I am in the desert after all.

Shoe Porn

(Christian Louboutin, via Lefashion)
I was browsing other fashion lovers blogs this morning and found this pic on lefashion. Needless to say, I nearly passed out in my store. Are these for real and if so where are they and how can I get them?

Hamming It Up

(Matthew Williamson Resort 2010 RTW)
I was on the fence when the harem trend started several years ago in Europe but, I have decided not only are they fabulous but, I am thinking they are even sexy. Especially when they are water colored and paired with chartreuse green. To die for. One day I am going to have enough funds to buy an entire collection from Mr. Williamson. OK, so maybe not an entire one but, at least a piece. :)

Keeping It Light

(Matthew Williamson Fall 2009 RTW)
We all know by now that this man is my absolute favorite. I had so much trouble choosing my top pick from his Fall runway show but, I think this is it! I am loving the skinny satin in silver. So very ice princess gone naughty. She looks like maybe when she opens her mouth, ice vapor escapes and could kill you upon contact. I am feeling like this could be the perfect holiday party outfit. Wishing for snow already.

Our Adventure

(Jason: glasses- my Gucci's, t-shirt- American Apparel, shorts- what else? J. Crew, sandals- Rainbows, watch- Rolex. Me: t-shirt- T by Alexander Wang, shorts- American Apparel, sandals- Aldo)
Leave it to me to find the nicest winery in VT and suggest to Jason we go on an adventure to partake in the wine tasting. So, this past weekend we did just that and had a fab time. Not to mention, we bought several bottles, one that I am drinking as we speak. I have not been to VT since January, due to working Dressing Room but, I am so glad to be back and be with my lover. Wine and Jason...yummy. And are we not so proud of him and his aviators plus the hipster brand tee? Good work babe.

For You

Moderation is a fatal thing. Nothing succeeds like excess.
-Oscar Wilde
One of my favorite people in the world, Ms. Malloree happens to be obsessed with Mr. Wilde and might have by now read every single thing this man has ever written. While I have only read a few of his works, I have to agree in his brilliance and wonderful play on words. This quote is probably one of my favorites. Smart man that Oscar.

Right On: Words To Live By

"When I get dressed, I think of it as dress-up time, like the clothes are costume pieces. That's why I like vintage- it has a story behind it. I am not afraid of walking down the street in something people think is crazy. What I can't stand is looking like everyone else."
-Ashley Olsen

Fearless

(Ashley Olsen just being generally awesome)
We all know my obsession with the Olsens. Well mine and all my friends I should say. Just thought I would give you a fav day and night look. I couldn't decide which one I like more. I just am loving that Ashlely decided she would just go ahead and sport this intense coral motif on an early morning in NYC. You gotta love the absolute disregard for anyone and what they may say. I am feeling that she looks to die for and the white backless number is stunning. Good work.

Leather and Lace

(The infamous Stevie Nicks)
I grew up listening to this broad and I have to say that she just never gets old. I had the wonderful surprise of seeing her in concert with Tom Petty a couple summers ago. The flair was in full affect. I am pretty sure she has never aged. "Stop Dragging My Heart Around" was insane in person and she rocked it hard. I pray that when I am her age I can be half as rad.

Groupie Greatness

(Anita Pallanberg and Marianne Faithful)
Can I just take it back to the 60's for a moment to reflect on the fabulous lives of these two? Best known for their love affairs with Keith and Mick, not to forget their heroine filled trysts, these besties never skipped a beat. And while they may have been a bit nutty and while Mick claimed Anita nearly killed him with the whole drug induced haze they existed in, their fabulousness remains. It's just a little drugs and rock n' roll baby. PS. are we not loving the fact they are both wearing matching boas? I know I am digging it.

Scotland Is Super Sexy: This Is Not A Joke

(Hotel Missoni: Edinburgh)
My dream for a while now has been to travel to Greece and break plates. I have now decided that trip may have to wait because I am for sure going to need to go to Hotel Missoni ASAP. Love you Julie, mean it because you are of course coming with. When I heard that the one in Scotland had opened, I thought it was a dream. Alas, it is now become a reality and me and my kilt are taking a trip!

Waiting With Baited Breath

(Celine Resort 2009 RTW)
The must anticipated collection from Phoebe Philo for Celine has debuted and does not disappoint. After the fashion guru left Chole in Spring 2006 to focus on her family, the world of fashion has not been the same. The collection is to die for and totally Phoebe. From the color palette of nudes and soft pinks, the effortless investment pieces she creates, everything screams timeless and fabulous! I am totally dying a million over these leather shorts and yummy knit top. Welcome back!

Ready To Hunker Down?

(Missoni Fall 2009 RTW)
I know that summer has just arrived and I have been praying for warm weather for several months but, all the new Fall collections have walked the runways and I am again pining for cold weather. I am quite positive that in order to pull this look off without over heating, you would have to be somewhere near the South Pole. However, the layers of knits mixed with the fabulous color palette of sherbets and gold lame make me so very happy. Maybe in smaller doses I could pull this of in the big KY. God knows I will try!

"We Are Starudust, We Are Golden"

(Barefaced and barefoot, Joni Mitchell poses for Vogue in 1968 with her favorite accessory)

Holed up in a hotel in NYC this fabulous woman penned the song most associated with the three day love fest known as Woodstock, without even being there. Now, if that is not too cool, I am not sure what could beat it. Quite ironic it is. Not to mention her musical conquests are to die for. Why should male rock stars have all the fun? The summer of love was over 4 decades ago but, I am pretty sure no one has done it better than this reigning bohemian queen.

Parking Lot Party

(Sarah, Christy, Me, Jennifer)
I was in my first wedding ever a couple weeks ago. Quite the experience I must say. Clearly, a parking lot break was needed for purposes I will not disclose. But, we did have a fabulous time and I decided that I want to wear a flower in my hair possibly everyday.

The Bar Never Looked So Good

(Me: swimsuit- Gucci, Jason: shirt- probably something from 1994 LL Bean perhaps?)
Well, I thought it may be time to finally blog my fiance. Here we are on our most recent vacay to Palm Beach. I believe we may or may not have spent around 6 hours at The Breakers pool bar. It just doesn't get any better and the Patron always tastes so yummy! So, here is a little peek into my love life. It's all your gonna get. Love ya j!

What Are Best Friends For?

(Christian Louboutin Fall 2009)
Lucky me because I get into my email yesterday and have a message saying, "A friend wants you to see something on Neiman Marcus". Julie of course had to find these works of art and torture me with her email. The Fendi have proven a wise purchase so.... You think you buy over the knee boots and will never wear them but, I have found that not to be true so much. I have found quite a few places to sport mine and who doesn't need a brown pair to go with their gray pair? This girl does. Maybe if I make a trillion dollars before they sell out, I will go ahead and do the damn thing. In the meantime, I am going to try and get Julie to get them. :)

Doing What Will Never Be Done Again

(Charlie being a dancing queen)
Mal decided to grace us with Charlie's presence for the wedding weekend and it was quite the treat. The man knows how to party and is even more talented when it comes to the dancing scene. I am pretty positive that Charlie boy tried to do this move later in the evening and was unsuccessful. Once in a lifetime situation. He is almost in a full back bend! So glad you came to stay with us and we can't wait to watch you and the fan do the damn thing.
