The Girls

Just another group shot of me, Jac, and Julie to add to our collection. We have now successfully taken over not only The Bahamas, but Mexico too! I am sporting a Camilla kaftan from Dressing Room that I borrowed from Frankie! Nothing says vacay like a little animal print with sparkles! More pics to come!

Silver Oak

I must say while the weather has been a bit of a crux, it does help in the way of being able to hang at the palace in the sky for an evening or two. Jason was working the night shift so, I decided I would truck over to the river and hang with Julie. Things took a turn for the usual and we ended up decanting a fairly large amount of vintage red wine. Shocking I know. We both ended up with furs and Julie with party hair and me with a banana as a microphone. Par for the course.

Kaftan Explosion

Well people, we just arrived back in the states from sunny Mexico and I must say it's a hard transition. This is a pic Jac took of our closet while we were there. I believe between me, Jac, and Julie, there were around 25 different persuasions of kaftans. A bit much you ask? Never! More pics to come!

See Ya Next Tuesday!

I am very excited to be leaving for Mexico tomorrow morning! I am getting married in May at the Fairmont Mayakoba in the Riviera Maya so...I have to go down and meet with the wedding planner etc! Of course, my plan is genius because I get two vacays! Taking Judi, Peggi, Mom, Sara, Julie, and Jac with me! What a crew! Yay for being engaged!

Give Thanks To The All Mighty Louboutin

(dress: Camilla and Marc, shoes: Louboutin, tights: American Apparel)
For Thanksgiving this year, the family decided it would be festive to celebrate at Churchill Downs. Buffet and no clean-up? Yes please! Borrowed these yummy booties from Julie. She may never get them back, but she has my Coach boots and I am not positive I will ever see them again. So...even trade! Decided to wear the new Camilla and Marc velvet dress and go festive with my red sparkle tights! We had such a fabulous time! Happy Thanksgiving!

Bang Bang

(Me: vest- vintage, tights- Aldo, dress- Alexander Wang, shoes- Chanel. Jac: sweater- Free People, leggings- Halston Heritage, shoes- Miu Miu)
This past weekend 8 of us girls traveled to Indy to see Chelsea Handler live and loud! Of course what would a girl's trip be without a few choice getting ready pics. Our hotel room was filled with so many goodies and we all had a fab time choosing what to wear. Of course I rocked the Chanel shoes for the 100th time. Those puppies just never get old. Jac decided to test her ability and wore my Miu Miu clogs. Everytime you put those on it is a matter of life and death. They are the most difficult shoes I own, but oh how I love them so!

Happy Halloween!

(Reba: Indian Princess, Kate: Butterfly Fabulousness, Me: Disco Ball)
(my new lace bell bottom pants from shopbop, Miu Miu clogs)

To celebrate Halloween Sunday, we decided to happen upon one of our usuals, Seviche of course. They hosted a fab party and I decided since I was Willy Wonka on Friday, I would be a disco ball on Sunday. Plus, it gave me a perfect excuse to wear my new lace pants. I put bright purple tights under them to fit with my festive party outfit. Nothing says disco ball quite like a pair of party pants!

Sequin Spectacle

dress: Antik Batik, clutch: Marc Jacobs, tights: DKNY, shoes: Louboutin
Last Thursday the Younger Women's Club hosted a fashion show at the Henry Clay downtown. So, we decided to start the eve off at one of my favs, Social for apps and drinks. The event was uber fun and Dressing Room looked fabulous if I do say so myself! This is one of the new designers we are carrying at the store, Antik Batik. It's a Parisian line and I am completely in love with this sequin tunic! So comfortable and easy to party in!

Reba's Extravaganza

(Jac: dress-vintage, Me: top- Madison Marcus, leather leggings- Halston, hat- vintage, Frankie: pant romper- Camilla, Rebecca: necklace- Mawi, Christy: dress- Camilla and Marc)

Sorry I have not been posting as much lately! We have been so busy! Just got back from NYC and pics to follow soon! This was taken several weeks ago when I forced Rebecca to have a bday celebration against her will! Birthdays are my favorite! So, I gathered some of the crew and we munched on yummies at Le Gallo Rosa. One of the fav places in Louisville! Everyone looked uber festive and somehow Reba and I ended up at Left Field Lounge late night. No shocker there!

My Version Of Hiking Boots

(Tory Burch)
I have never been a huge Tory Burch fan but, lately she is really stepping things up and designing things that are much more my style. Case in point: the photo taken above of my new boots for Fall. Have been obsessing over these for several months and they have been sold out everywhere! So, of course the first thing I did when I arrived in NYC was take it to Saks in search. I found them and bought them immediately! Wore them yesterday in 95 degree weather. I don't care how hot it is outside, it's September 23rd and time for boots!

What's Your Tuesday Like?

(tank: American Apparel, skirt: Camilla and Marc, shoes: Louboutin)
Christy: dress- Camilla, necklace- Mawi, turban- vintage/ Kate: kaftan- Camilla, turban: Camilla and Marc. assorted bangles available at Dressing Room

Well, yesterday turned out to be quite an adventure. Kate popped in to say hello followed by Christy so, clearly champagne was consumed and we decided to go ahead and have an impromptu photo shoot. Not really quite sure how this all came about, but the iPhone camera was pretty strong and the afternoon light shining through the trees was perfect. I am thinking that turbans might be my new thing. Kate is killing it in the leopard. Of course, Christy bought the dress she is wearing and Kate bought the kaftan and turban she is wearing! We might have a slight fashion obsession. Tuesday anyone?

When I Say Mega, You Say Cat

Thought it may be a good day to post a pic of me in my fabulous redneck swimsuit in from of our dueling fridges on the Mega Cat. Can't decide which one is more fun. The one to the right is host to Pelligrino, bacon, Nathan's hot dogs, etc. While the one to the left is carrying the jello shots, eggs, Mexican layer dip, trifle, etc. Hmmmm....this is a hard choice. In life when presented with two equally good choices, I say don't choose because you can figure out a way to get both!

Halston My Love

(top: Urban Ourfitters, pants: Halston Heritage, shoes: Givenchy)
Must say one of the most fun parts of my job is when new shipments arrive. It's a lot like Christmas and yesterday was no exception. Halston Heritage Fall 1 arrived and in this yummy morsel of a package were my leather leggings! Yay! Yes, it may be ninety outside, but I am sporting them hard core!

Mega Cat Redneck Style

(Mega Cat Houseboat Lake Cumberland)
I think that almost everyone who is a member of my blog is also attending my bachelorette party aboard the Mega Cat this weekend. For those of you who are not, I will be absent from blogging and kicking it on this mama. I have my American flag bikini and I can't wait to sip some chamapagne while floating on my raft!

Next Purchase

(Net-a-Porter)
Seriously? Was online shopping once again on Net-a-Porter this morning and found my next purchase. Kinda hard to buy a sweater when the heat index is 110 degrees, but I am afraid it will be sold out....so, I am gonna go ahead and scoop it! Love so much!

Satiated

(Miu Miu Glitter Clogs)
I was so excited yesterday when the FedEx man buzzed my condo and had these puppies with him! Jason ordered them for my birthday several months ago. Of course, they were pre-order so I had to wait for them to finally ship! They have arrived and are so just what I needed.

Something Old, Something Borrowed, Nothing Blue

(shirt: vintage, leather shirts: Tory Burch, boots: Mini tonkas, purse: Chanel)
Jason and I decided last minute to buy tickets to the Hulabalu festival at Churchill Downs. So, yesterday I made a quick stop by Frankie's to borrow her fabulous Tory Burch leather shorts. I thought tie dye would be a perfect touch for Steve Miller and Dave Matthews. Of course they went amazing with my vintage sherbet top that I picked up forever ago for around 8 bucks!

Wrapped Up In A Bow

(Chanel via Sea of Shoes)
Once again Jane from Sea of Shoes is making me more envious each time she posts one of her many fab pairs of shoes from her collection. I have never even seen these. I have no idea where she even found them, but I can assure you that if I had been the one to happen upon black bowed Chanel booties, zipper up back and all...I would never leave the store without them. I would even give up WholeFoods for these and that is saying a lot.

Uchi

(our sushi seviche at Uchi)
I just got back from a wonderful trip with my fiance Jason. We left last week for an adventure in Austin, TX. Be being the foodie that I am of course researched all the best spots and Uchi did not disappoint. Probably the best fresh fish I have ever had. The Saki was a nice touch, as always. More pics to come of our trip!

Goo Goo for Lady GaGa

(Sarah K, Frankie, Brooke, Me, Tiffany, Jacqueline)
This past Thursday the six of us took our fabulousness to Indy to see Lady GaGa in concert. She was out of control amazing and I am dying to see her a second time! Lots of champagne and sequins flowed. Check out Indyscene.com for more pics of us out and about!

Happy 4th!

(top: vintage, sequin shorts: Express, shoes: Giuseppe Zanotti)
Judi- skirt: Gemma (from Dressing Room), tank: American Apparel

So, my fiance has been in Nantucket and was absent on the 4th. I decided that if I didn't have Jason I would have the next best option, my fabulous soon to be mother-in-law Judi! She headed down Saturday morning for fun in the sun and Frankie and Ryan's 4th of July party! We had such a great time and she even picked up this great polka dot number from the store! Love it!

Face It... I'm Fabulous

(Prada, pic via Sea of Shoes)
Found this pic on one of my fav bloggers website: Sea of Shoes. These are from several seasons ago and I actually never saw them anywhere. Think she purchased them in Florence. Figures. This is my current shoe envy. I die over her hot pink lips.

It's How We Do

So, this is a pic we snapped on our last trip to the Bahamas. Me, Jac, and Julie made the first of many liquor runs. Just 2 cases of Kalik and a case of champagne to start off. Too bad that lasted about a day and a half! Gotta love the Gucci bags. They are a nice touch.

Ling Ling

(Chanel bag, image via Sea of Shoes)
So, one of my favorite blogs ever is Sea of Shoes. Imagine my delight when I got online today and this was posted! I realize that it probably only holds lipstick and a credit card, but what else does a girl need when she is carrying Ling Ling around?

Sending All My Love

I felt one post was not enough for the Christian Louboutin Barbie I received for my birthday. Jac took this with her IPhone at dinner. You can clearly see how much I am loving her. Just ordered a glass case online to house her. Pics to come soon!

New Want

(Givenchy)
So, these are my current new obsession from the new Givenchy collection. I am guessing from the other pair I have worn of Jac's, that these puppies are going to be incredibly uncomfortable over a period of time. However, fashion is pain and I will suffer through.

Happy Birthday To Me!

My 2 live crew (Natalie, Frankie, and Jacqueline) gifted me this past weekend at my Birthday Celebration with the Christian Louboutin Cat Burglar Barbie. I died a thousand. She is beyond fabulous and I couldn't be more thrilled! Thanks lovers!

My Welcoming Commitee

(Teddy welcoming home)
I took this photo the other day with my IPhone. I was coming home from work and Teddy was out on his porch saying hello. Ruth is our neighbor and she has two poms, Teddy and Tiger. It always scares me a bit when they come to the ledge, but they seem quite skilled. They are so fluffy. I die.

Delta Is In The House

(Julie and Me with Delta)
For all of you who do not know, Julie is slightly obsessed with mermaids. So, several months ago when I was ordering my new furniture pieces from Global Views, I decided this was also a necessary purchase. I gifted Julie with her on Sunday evening and she seems very happy in her new home. We decided to name her Delta one night after several glasses of pinot and I think it was a strong choice. She turned out to be a bit bigger in person!

Romp-a-Thon: Day 7

(dressy tuxedo romper)
(last romper look...sadness)

Sadly, the 7 day Romp-a-Thon has come to an end. It has been a good run and Frankie still has more rompers that she didn't even get to wear. Therefore we have decided to have several bonus looks over the next couple of weeks! Love the Alexander Wang tuxedo romper she sported for our girls card night at Tiffany's. And the Tory Burch lace ups are insane! Frankie decided for her last night look she would wear black in mourning of the end of Romp-a-Thon. Bonus looks to come soon!

Romp-a-Thon: Day 6

(chillin at Big Spring)
(new Camilla romper from Dressing Room)

(terry night time romp)

The romp-a-thon is nearing the end and I must admit I am a little depressed. Having Frankie's romper look to look forward to everyday was quite entertaining. These are her three looks for day 6. Casual missoni print romper from Dressing Room for a lounge day at the country club. For our supper club on Saturday night she sported her newest romper purchase from Dressing Room! I die over this! And then of course the casual terry cloth for bedtime. On to our last day!

Romp-a-Thon: Day 5

(safari day look)
(gray American Apparel romper)

We are now on day 6! Only one more day to go and Frankie is still successfully pulling out new rompers several times a day! Frankie popped in the store yesterday wearing the army green safari romper. We were having our Camilla trunk show and of course she went ahead and purchased yet another pant suit romper in a black poppy print. To die over, seriously. She will be wearing it tonight to our supper club. Pics to come!

Romp-a-Thon: Day 4

(Anlo denim romper)
(simple stripe for bedtime!)

Still going just as strong as ever. Love the casual denim romper and it can easily translate to a night time going out look as well. Die for the blue stripe look for bedtime. Stripes are so in right now. Way to go Frankie!
