Mini Me

(Keegan, posing in Chicago)
My fiance Jason has the best fam ever and his mother just sent me this pic of his cousin Keegan in Chicago on a fabulous girl's trip she is currently on with her mother Tracy. The email with the attached photo read:
With her hands on her hips and her head turned with sunglasses...she looks like Julia...Jason's fiance. You all look like you are having such fun...I'm jealous.
I have to agree with Peggi and say she is looking quite the part and I am loving the model pose!

Martini Please

(MiMi Chair, Global Views)
So, a while ago I posted pics of the chair I ordered for my living room and it is now arrived! I am totally in love with this little gem and have sworn to Jason that I will not drink red wine while sitting in it. I can be a bit clumsy and I am pretty positive the soft white leather would not recover from one of my disasters. Which is fine because all this chair makes me want to do is drink a dirty martini!

Therapy

(via Le Fashion)

Once again I was perusing my fav blogs this morning and found this on Le Fashion. I literally laughed out loud. Cracks me up because sadly I can relate. Why are we in an economic downward spiral? Starting to really piss me off.

Ballerina With Panache

(young New Yorker, Greene St. via Hanneli)
I was going through my usual blogs this morning that I follow and came upon this picture that Hanneli took in New York. I only wish I was this chic when I was four. The mix of sweet and edgy is so fresh. Love, Love.

Waldorf

(leggings: American Apparel, shoes: Louboutin, socks: American Apparel, sweater: Theory, cape: cashmere and fox)
Jac and I decided to have a mini photo shoot in the Waldorf Astoria hotel bathroom. This bathroom was huge and uber fabulous. Who doesn't love a little gold leaf with crystals hanging above? Perfect backdrop for our 9am impromptu. Bought these leggings while we were in the city and I am obsessed. They go with everything. Thought they would be a nice change to the usual black hot pants.

Spring Come Soon

( Sretsis daisy sunglasses, via LeFashion)
Last week was a huge tease and I really thought Spring might be coming around and here to stay. This week however has proved that we are not quite there yet. The gray skies and horrible mist rain are making me sad, but these fabulous shades are making me happy and looking forward to the sunnier days that are ahead. I mean really, how cute are these?

It's A Girl

(Missoni for Converse)
Hey kids, this is Rebecca (Julia's future sister in-law for those of you who haven't yet had the pleasure of meeting me). So while thumbing through the pages of Teen Vogue this month, yes I read the teen version, it's just less of a time commitment to be honest, I stumbled upon these beauties. I was of course instantly smitten, and I thought to myself: Hmmm if Julia and I had a baby, this is exactly what she would look like-runway/skateboard ready at all times. She's due this spring. Our shower invitations are in the mail.

A Switch-a-Roo

(the lama of course, sweater: Theory, hat: vintage)
This was taken last night from an iphone. Christy and I went out for martinis at our mainstay, Seviche. The fish tacos always bring me back and the bartender is always a delight. Last night I decided I loved his vintage hat and he loved my lama vest so, naturally we decided to trade and the moment had to be caught on camera! Though, after about 5 seconds I was missing the vest and made him give it back to me!

A Statement

(dress: J. Godfrey, shoes: Gucci, jacket: Alexander Wang)
So, I never ever wear red. I prefer black with a little fur, but I went for it this past weekend at the wedding we attended in Austin. I picked this up at the boutique next to us and I must say that I am now a fan of the color. We partied it up and I think I for sure made a statement.

Lamas and Texas

(top: KnitWit, vest: vintage, skirt: Erin Kleinberg, tights: American Apparel, shoes: Dolce Vita)
Told you I had new material! These pics were taken on Friday night in Austin. Downtown was totally fabulous and this bar I loved because they had so many different persuasions of velvet seating. Ummm, yes. These are my new shoes I picked up while in NYC at Saks. I didn't allow myself to go to the 8th floor so, instead I headed to the 4th floor and tried to be economical. Not really my cup of tea, but I love these wedges! The lama vest is a recent fun purchase I picked up at an event we did. It goes great with everything and I have been wearing it for about 5 days straight now. Texas was not quite ready for the look, but I personally thought it was a hit!

No One Comes Between Me and My Louboutins

These pics were taken with Natalie's camera last Saturday eve before I left for NYC. We decided to have a champagne dance party and of course her other husband Craig had to come. Well, he started trying to eat my Louboutins because they are so yummy. So, in my defense what is a girl to do but grab the skillet and attack him! After much bubbly and Nat's dance party mix CD, we headed up to Seviche for fish tacos and martinis. All in all a great night. The early morning flight the next morning you ask? I little rough.

Fallen Hard

(Miu, Miu, Le Fashion)
Sorry for being MIA the past couple weeks. I was in New York and then home for less than 24 hours before heading to Austin for a wedding. I am finally back and so tired from my travels, but I have lots of wonderful blogging material so, I will be better this week! And now on to the good stuff. These little gems are breaking my heart. I am beyond dying for these. I can't find them anywhere of course. Story of my life, but if I do I don't care what it takes, I will own them. Wish me luck on my search!
