Well Played Son, Well Played

Got in my email this morning and received this from my best friend Malloree who lives in Atlanta and randomly sends me mindless entertainment. This made me laugh out loud. Homosexuality is definitely less offensive than a long corduroy skirt. I love gay men.

Luxe

(Spring 2010 Christian Dior Haute Couture)
Once again Galliano has struck again in the world of Couture. Who will wear which gown at the Costume Institute Gala is the big question now. This entire collection, from the whipped satin to the opulence of the show in general was truly and simply fabulous. Most recently I have been reading a series called Luxe. My lovely future sister-in-law and bestest found it for us to read and now there are about 5 other girls in our crew as obsessed as we were! The plot is set in the late 1800's in New York City. The characters are all high society socialites and it is sinfully good. Think Gossip Girl circa then. Scandal at every turn. I picture myself in this fabulous gown, while sipping champagne and gossiping at the ball.

Snack Attack

Went over for patio sitting on the river at Julie's palace in the sky. Of course lots of red wine and then Julie whipped this up. Love the white queso and the baked scoops are a must.

Saturday is for Sequins

(jeans: Proportion of Blu, top: vintage, shoes: Christian Louboutin)
So today is Sangria Saturday at Dressing Room and I decided a little sparkle would be appropriate. Jac found this little number at our fav vintage store, Nitty Gritty. I am actually wearing it backwards. Thought the zipper was better in the front. What do you guys think?

Peace Man

(Martin aka Rasta hanging on Julie's porch on Thunder)
Had to blog a pic of Rasta with his new system, the Milwaukee boom box. Even has an Ipod dock station included. Very very cool.

Lunch Time

So, anyone who frequents Dressing Room knows we girls love a good bubbly. Julie came to visit me last week and we decided Chandon Rose was a perfect choice for the afternoon. Gotta love it.

Getting Better

(necklace: vintage, bra: American Apparel, tank: Alexander Wang, leggings: Rock and Republic, shoes: Yves Saint Laurent)
Apparently, I am not doing a good job at posting daily outfit and people are upset! I am trying! Today, I decided to bring out the elephant piece. Not even sure where Jac and I picked up this bauble. Probably Nitty Gritty if I had to guess. I am in love with it and stole it from the condo this A.M. when I went over to do P90X with Jac. Which by the way is extremely intense. Could barely walk up my stairs after. More to come!

Giving Casanova A Run For His Money

(Nobu)
This fabulous little creature is Rebecca's Pomeranian Nobu. He might be the cutest thing ever aside for little Bianca Bear. Rebecca and Nobu came to visit me at the store on Friday to show off his new look. I must say I think it is quite fierce. The cut is modeled after Preston Casanova, a Pomeranian who doubles as a model! I am feeling that Nobu is rocking this look hard and Preston should watch out!

Back On The Wagon

(top: Elizabeth and James, tank: Theory, leggings: American Apparel, shoes: Yves Saint Laurant)
So, I know I promised to blog my daily outfit, but I have not been doing so well with that. I was in Lexington this past weekend for Keenland and bday party hosted at Judi's (my future mother-in-law). Well, Judi is a follower of the blog and called me out! So, this is for you Judi! I am back on the wagon!

The Easter Bunny Drinks Champagne Too!

(Jac- dress: Poleci, jacket: Dolce and Gabbana, bag: Marc Jacobs, shoes: Gucci. Me- dress: Mara Hoffman, bag: vintage Chanel, tights: American Apparel, shoes: Chirstian Louboutin)
So, Jac posted these pics on her blog too! This past Sunday we went with the rents to the Fountain Room downtown at The Galt House. I must say the spread was quite spectacular and the three tier chocolate fountain was a great little bonus. Everyone I saw on Sunday was stunned that I actually had on color, but I decided to be festive and I have only worn this dress one other time! Mommy dearest brought us these yummy baskets with of course bubbly! All in all, a fab day!

Day 2

(shirt: Alexander Wang, leggings: Rock and Republic, cardigan: Anna Sui, shoes: Dolce Vita)
Looks like I am still making good on my promise of posting my daily outfit, but it is only day two. However, I feel good about it. This is the first time I have worn this cardigan. Not really the cardigan wearing type, but this one is to die for and evokes a bomber jacket feel. Getting ready to head out for champers and cheese with the crew. Looking forward to day three.

Day One

(shirt: LNA, leggings: American Apparel, shoes: Christian Louboutin)
So, this is the beginning of the daily outfit post. This is what I am currently sporting. And you may be wondering if it is possible that I have that many pairs of AA leggings and the answer is yes. I need to go to rehab for my hot pant addiction! This shirt came into Dressing Room and sold out in about 2 minutes. Absolutely love it!

Peace, Love, and Happiness

(shirt: J. Crew, leggings: American Apparel, fur: vintage, shoes: Dolce Vita)
Clearly I took this pic a couple weeks ago when I was working and it was not 85 degrees outside. I found this leopard number in NYC on one of my visits at the Sunday Upper West Side flea market. Actually, more than half of my fur collection has been found there. Nothing like Sunday brunch at Blue Water, champagne, and fur. My new goal is to blog what I am wearing everyday. Don't hold me to it though, only a goal.
