Told You Big Is Always Better

(Milan, The Sartorialist)
Once again I was browsing through The Sartorialist and came upon this FABULOUS being in this over the top big shirt dress. I know a lot of women are totally against the oversize look because they feel pregnant blah blah. But, I say whatever if your legs look like this and your heels are over 5 inches. I am now on a mad hunt to find this and wear it asap. She is shutting it down.

So Very French Of Us

(Jac- shades: RayBan, tee: Alexander Wang, sweater: Jamison. Me- shades: Gucci, top: Elizabeth and James)
This is a pic my mom snapped while having yummy brunch outside at one of our favs La Maison. Sometimes we can be a bit boring because whenever we are in the city we tend to frequent the same spots. But, this is a must if not for the cheese board, then most definitely for the French onion soup.

GenArt at The Met

(Me- shorts: warehouse sale find, tights: American Apparel, shoes: Chanel, fur sweater: vintage. Jac- top: find that day at Saks, boots: Marc Jacobs, bag: Miu Miu)
This is a bit of a blurry shot taken at the GenArt Fashion Show at the Met. Lots of flashes and crazy lighting does not make for a clear photo apparently. One of the designers we carry at Dressing Room, Min Young Lee, was chosen among seven other designers as new and upcoming in the fashion world. And, was given the exciting opportunity to show during Fashion Week. This was the first show we attended upon arrival and had such a great time! Congrats Min!

The Insanity Of It All

(Marchesa Show Spring 2010, Chelsea Art Museum)
As mentioned in previous posts, Jac and I were so thrilled to be invited to attend the absolutely amazing Marchesa show. These are a few of my favorite pieces from the show. Kinda hard to explain through words so, I will let the pictures and dresses speak for themselves. Enjoy!

Street Savvy

(Giavonna before the Armani show, Milano. The Sartorialist)
The Sartorialist is one of my top five fashion blogs. Making it on this site is a huge honor in the world of fashion and one of my dreams in life. Needless to say, I browse about 5 times a day. This morning I was blown away by this picture of Giovanna. It struck me in such a way, that I am having a hard time explaining what it is that I love so much. I think it may just be the entire thing all together. From the perfect touch of red in the clutch to the bubble skirt to the statement necklace to the perfect backdrop and "toe in pose" on a motorcycle, I just want to be there with her. Wonder what she is typing on her Ipod? Something like..."Oh! What I'm I doing? Just being fabulous outside the Armani show, lounging on my bike in my heels". I die.

Burberry Glam

(Burberry Prorsum Spring 2010 RTW)
From Gwyneth to Mary-Kate, all ages were represented at the London runway show for Burberry Prorsum. Christopher Bailey is officially a genius and I literally die over every single piece. Burberry gone glam is so very right. I of course am I huge fan of the classic Burberry and could never part with my oh so sophisticated Burberry trench but, I am loving the fresh new twist on the iconic coat that has represented the brand for ages. I am also loving all the draping and this gold mini is just perfect. Also, I will be wearing the bare leg, gray scrunched socks with platforms look this season. Love.

Marchesa Madness

(Jac- sweater: vintage, skirt: Alexander Wang, Sarah, Me- dress: Camilla and Marc, bag: Yves Saint Laurent)
Our lovely friend Sarah was a doll and got us tickets to the Marchesa show at the Chelsea Art Museum. As she put it, the tickets are like gold dust. We were so very excited to see all the couture gowns and had so much fun gushing over every piece and all the Louboutins designed just for the show. Gift bags weren't to shabby either. Thanks Sarah!

Fashion Toast Knock Off

(Dress: Camilla and Marc Spring 2011, boots: Fendi)
Jac and I just got back from Fashion Week in NYC, which is why I haven't blogged in a couple. We managed to fit in a few showroom appointments in between shows, eating, and shopping. Thank God we did because this yummy LBD I am sporting in this pic was given to me on loan for the Marchesa show from Camilla and Marc's new Spring line. No worries, I ordered one for myself. Thank you Jefferey for your trust in my ability to not ruin the dress before returning. Marchesa show was ridiculous and the Moet was a lovely touch. After the show Jac decided we should have a mini photo shoot around the city. These are a few of the shots she took. Rumi makes it look so easy on FashionToast. PS...not easy.

I Finally Did It.

(Miss Sixty)
So, Jac and I were having our morning shopping/phone convo perusing ruelala, ideali, gilt, etc. Well we happened to stumble on to Zappos (not a usual destination) but, I am super glad because I just bought these fab little booties. I have not bought a pair of shoes in I don't know how long. Trying to be good and save. However, I felt that these were a must have and I can't wait to wear them to fashion week!

Winter White

(Helmut Lang)
Julie found this on Net-a-Porter the other day and I am kinda obsessed. I want to just sleep in this shearling dream. I am trying to talk Julie into buying it. Kinda a must. I have taken the approach that it is an "investment" piece that she will have forever and ever. Keep you posted on how this progresses. Love!

Never Above You, Never Below You, Always Beside You

(Julie and me at the Daiquiri stand)
Clearly, this is our favorite place on earth. We frequent this little gem for hours a day and it just never is boring. I believe we sat in this window for a good 2 hours or so. Met lots of new friends of course and had our standard watermelon concoctions, no syrup please!

It's Always A Party

(Sarah H: skirt- vintage, top: E&J. Sarah I: dress- Marchesa. Lesa (mom): dress- E&J, shoes- Gucci. JacJac: pantsuit- Robert Rodriguez, shoes- Prada. Lauren: dress- T by Alexander Wang. Julie: dress- Madison Marcus, shoes- Alexander Wang. Me: dress- Alexander Wang, shoes- Gucci. Natalie: dress- Nicholas K.
This is our red carpet picture from Saturday night at "Best Dressed". I have to say that I am quite pleased with how it turned out. No one has a crazy lazy eye or dumbfounded look at their face. All in all, a success. We had such a fabulous time and I know I am bias but, we were the best looking crew in that place. Love to all my lovelies!

Going Modern For My Man

(Elle Decor)
Jason and I are getting ready to purchase our first house. Very, very exciting. For all of you who have been to my condo on St. James, you know it is a bit intense. Think girl pad times 10 plus lots and lots of just things. Jac and I have had a slight problem over the years letting go of items. I think Jason is a bit scared that our new house is going to resemble the same aesthetic but, I have reassured him I am now oh so grown up and taking the transition into big girl land. Therefore, I am going modern. This is my inspiration for our bedroom and Jason's office. LOVE the all black high gloss walls. Quite sexy. This is only the start, stay tuned.
